Samuel B. Alsop, a native of Spotsylvania County but for many years a resident of Texas, died at his home in Thornton, Texas, recently, according to information reaching here today. Mr. Alsop was in the 78th year of his life.
Mr. Alsop was born in Spotsylvania County and was raised to early manhood there, leaving when a young man for Texas where he made his home up to his death.
He was a brother of Mrs. Charles Perry, who died here a little more than a year ago, and leaves one brother and one sister, Lawrence Alsop and Miss Ella Alsop, both of Washington. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, some of whom reside in this city.
