Dolla (Hinman) Ortleb, 99, formerly of Alton, died at 6:55 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 27, 1987, at Jersey Care Center in Jerseyville. She was born in Greene County and worked as a licensed practical nurse before her retirement. A daughter of the late William J. and Lola (Lindsey) Barnard, she married Elmer Hinman on Aug, 20, 1909. in Greene County. He died June 7, 1928. She then married John Ortleb in 1957. in Jerseyville, and he died in 1971. Surviving are two daughters, Anna Belle Quinn of Jerseyville and Velma Vanausdoll of Shipman; a son, Merrill Hinman of Richmond. Calif.; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchiidren; and three sisters, Louise Blair of Carlinville, Sylvia McCauley of Jerseyville and Pandora Duncan of South Carolina. She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, one grandson, four brothers and five sisters. Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Gubser Funeral Home in Jerseyville. Services will be at the funeral home at 1 p.m. Friday with the Rev. David Conrad officiating. Burial will be in Richwood Cemetery, east of Roodhouse.
