Mary Iva Johannes, 93, Kansas City, Mo., died Wednesday, Nov. 24, 1999, at North Kansas City Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Johannes was born Mary Iva Cash on Aug. 13, 1906, at Salina, Kan., and was a Kansas City, Mo., resident for 10 years, moving from Salina. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Sacred Heart Cathedral, Salina, and a past member of Sacred Heart Ladies Guild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph, in 1987; and a daughter, Barbara Ann Johannes, in 1932.
Survivors include two sons, Joseph of Gladstone and Donald of Lenexa, Kan,; a daughter, Kathleen Johannes of Denver; nine grandchildren; a step-grandchild; 18 great- grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Cathedral, the Rev. James Hake officiating. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Salina.
A vigil will be at 7 p.m. today at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the church.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the church.
