She was preceded in death by a brother, Austin I. Keys, Jr., two sisters, Edith Pearl Husk and Thresa Maxwell.

She is survived by her husband, Fred M. Dotson, three sons, a daughter, a brother and four grandchildren.

Friends were received at the Furbee Funeral Home, Alma, WV, Wednesday 7-9 pm, where services were held Thursday, October 10, 1996 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Louise Baker officiating. Interment in the Masonic Park Cemetery, West Union.

------------------------

E.J. loved children, the elderly, roses, dolls, dogs, watching a soap opera or two, reading the National Enquirer, and working Circle-Word puzzles. She liked to "cut up" and have fun. She liked putting curls in little girls' hair using rags for curlers. She was one to "tell it like it was," and she made an awesome chocolate mayonnaise cake.

-------------------------

EJ had cut out and saved the following poem from a newspaper; it must have spoken to her heart:

Woman was made from the rib of man.
She was not created from his head to top him.
Nor from his feet to be stepped on.
She was made from his side to be equal to him.
From beneath his arm to be protected by him.
Near his heart to be loved by him.
