Final Rites Pending for Mrs. Padgett
Funeral arrangements for Mrs. Lillie May Padgett, 83, of 3702 McKinney, Dallas resident for 79 years, were pending Tuesday night at the Marrs-Mundy-Quill Funeral Home.
Mrs. Padgett, a native of Ennis, died here Tuesday.
As active Club woman, Mrs Padgett belonged to the King's Daughters Club, Kentucky Club, Dallas Day Nursery and Infant Welfare Association. She was also a member of Housewives Chamber of Commerce, Dallas Patriotic Association, Red Cross and Visiting Nurses Association.
She organized the Halcyon Club in 1907, and later the Junior Halcyon Club. She was a member of the First Methodist Church.
Mrs. Padgett is survived by three daughters, all of Dallas; Mrs. S. J. E. Marshall, Miss Evelyn Padgett, and Miss Marjorie Padgett, four grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
