Death of Mrs. Grimes.
Many friends in this city will be pained to learn of the death of Sarah Elizabeth Morrison, wife of John A. Grimes, which occurred at her home yesterday morning. Mrs. Grimes was born in Huntingdon county, Penn., April 18th, 1843, and was a daughter of Abram and Arabella Morrison. She was married April 5th, 1863, in this city, and it has since been her home continuously. She was the mother of four children, three of whom are now living, W. A. Grimes of Springfield, Mo., Mrs. S. E. Kellogg of Sioux City, and Mrs. Bertha Ingalls. Two sisters and all the children were with Mrs. Grimes in her last moments. Mrs. Grimes had been a member of the Lutheran church for thirty-five years, was a devoted christian, a loving wife and an affectionate mother. She had many friends in this community who will mourn her death and sorrow with the stricken husband and family. Funeral services will be held at the home on West Burlington street tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock, conducted by Rev. W. J. Funkey, and the remains will be interred in the Evergreen cemetery.
