Roy Clifford Guthrie, age 90 of Huntsville died Monday at home. He was born in Tennessee, but he has lived in Huntsville for the past 53 years. He worked for Marshall Space Flight Center before retiring in 1971. He enjoyed his volunteer work at the Senior Center.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife Leona Guthrie
He is survived by his three sons Roy Stephen Guthrie of Vandalia, Ohio, Phillip Wayne Guthrie of Huntsville, and Eric Andrew Guthrie of Huntsville; one brother; eight grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; and many other family and friends.
Arrangements are being handled by Spry Funeral Home of Huntsville, where the family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM Wednesday. Funeral service will be at Spry Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 PM Thursday, with Rev. John Davis officiating. Interment will be at Maple Hill Cemetery.
