Mr. James William Arrington, Sr. age 87, of Lake City, Fla. died Wednesday, May 12, in the V.A. Medical Center, Lake City, Fla. He was born in Tifton, Ga. and resided in Branford, Fla. for 20 years before moving to Lake City, Fla. five years ago. He was the son of the late Ira Franklin Arrington and Minnie Lee White Arrington. He worked as a truck driver for many years and also was an ordained pastor for 52 years with the United Pentecostal Church. He was a member of the United Pentecostal Church of Branford, Fla. and an Army Veteran of W.W.II. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Irene Arrington of Lake City, Fla.: Three daughters, Betty Witt of Miramar, Fla., Barbara Sali of Ft. Myers, Fla. and Cheryl Martin of Miami, Fla.: One son, Jim Arrington of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.: One step-daughter, Cynthia Charles of Lake City, Fla.: Numerous grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 P.M. Saturday, May 15, in the Chapel of Guerry Funeral Home with Rev. Lester O'Steen of Cross city, Fla. officiating. Interment will be in Jacksonville National Cemetery on Monday, May 17. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 P.M. Friday, May 14, at GUERRY FUNERAL HOME, 2659 S.W. Main Blvd., Lake City, Fla.
