Calhoun Times Oct. 21, 1987. Mrs. Kathleen Borders Bentley, 81, of 153 Owens Gin Road, Calhoun, died at 11 p.m. Thursday in the Cherokee Nursing Home. She was a daughter of the late Dr. Dennis and Emma Stewart Borders and was the widow of T. A. (Buck) Bentley. She was a lifetime resident of Gordon County and was a member of the Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church. Survivors include a son, Larry A. Bentley of Stone Mountain; a brother Jess R. Borders of Calhoun; two sisters, Mrs. James B. Bentley of Calhoun, and Mrs. Alice Pearl Landers of Atlanta; three grandchildren, Susan Louise Bentley, David Lawton Bentley, and Stephen Dennis Bentley, all of Stone Mountain. Funeral was at 3 p.m. Sunday, (Oct. 25, 1987) from the Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church, with Revs. Euel Hardman and Fred Goodwin conducting the service. Pallbearers included Shane Faulkner, Ron Bentley, Jr., Stewart and Ford Borders, William L. Hatcher, and Mike Bentley. Honorary pallbearers included, Jack Taylor, Charles Faulkner, Jimmy Bentley, Lawton Hatcher, Harry Borders, Ronnie Bentley, Bobby Davis, Lee Hunt, Mike Tinch and Bennie Joe Whittemore. Interment was in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
