Former Leavenworth business owner,
Crystal P. Williams, seventy-four, died July
11, 1985, in Cushing Memorial Hospital.
She and her husband Wally, owned and
operated the Harris Brothers Cleaners from
1949 to 1980.

Mrs. William was born on November 27,
1910, at Oketo, Kansas, the daughter of
Elmer and Jennie Affholder. She was the
oldest of twelve children.

Mrs. Williams was a member of the First
United Methodist Church, the Pilot Club,
Beta Sigma Phi, Lioness Club, Cushing
Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, and past
president of the Parent Teachers Associa-
tion.

She married Wally O. Williams on May
30, 1936.

She was preceded in death by her parents,
one brother and one sister.

She is survived by her husband, Wally of
The home; two daughters, Jane Pine,
Overland Park, Kansas, and Judy Bennett,
Roeland Park, Kansas; two sons-in-laws
Steve Pine and David Bennett; five brothers
Merwin Affholder, Wichita, Kansas, Lee
Affholder, Oketo, Kansas, Bill Affholder,
Belton, Missouri, Jim Affholder, Potomac,
Massachusetts, and Bob Affholder, St.
Louis, Missouri; four sisters Mrs. Eileen
Becker, Topeka, Kansas, Mrs. Alice Jay,
Dallas, Texas, Mrs. Katie Freiss, Tulsa,
Oklahoma, Mrs. Nancy Sandefer, Fort
Collins, Colorado, and four grandchildren,
Courtney Pine, Matthew Pine, Molly
Bennett, and Adam Bennett.

Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m.
Saturday, July 13, 1985, at the First
United Methodist Church in Leavenworth
Kansas officiating the service Reverend
Lloyd Lowe, Pastor of the First United
Methodist Church and Reverend Judd
Jones Aldersgate, Topeka, Kansas. Todd
Sack was the soloist.

Interment was at Mr. Muncie Cemetery,
Leavenworth, Kansas.
