A funeral for Edna Mae Beach Courtney, 91, of White Oak in southern Stafford County will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Covenant Funeral Service with the Rev. J. Larry Haun and the Rev. Patti English officiating.

Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Courtney died Monday, Dec. 24, 2001, at her home.

A Stafford County native, she retired from G&H Manufacturing Co. with 46 years of service. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church. She was the widow of Scott Courtney.

Survivors include a daughter, Frances Mullen of Fredericksburg; a brother, Preston Beach of Stafford; one granddaughter; two stepgrandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one stepgreat-granddaughter; and one stepgreat-great-granddaughter.

The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to White Oak Rescue Squad, Box 5603, Falmouth, Va. 22403; or to Fredericksburg Rescue Squad, Box 444, Fredericksburg, Va. 22404; or to the Fredericksburg Baptist Church Building Fund, 1019 Princess Anne St., Fredericksburg, Va. 22401.
