Amber Elaine Irwin was the daughter of Clayton W. & Helen E. (Hoag) Peters.

From The Lawton Constitution, Lawton, OK Saturday December 15, 1990 " Amber Elaine Irwin---Funeral for Amber Elaine Irwin, 62, Lawton, will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Huddleston's Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. John Cramer, pastor of Aldersgate United Methodist Church, officiating.

Eastern Star service will be by Charity Chapter 507, Order of the Eastern Star.

Mrs. Irwin died Friday at her home following a brief illness.

Burial will be in Post Cemetery, Fort Sill.

She was born Sept. 3, 1928, at Battle Creek, Mich., where she grew up and attended school. She married James Henry Irwin at Goshen, Ind., on Jan 5, 1949, and they lived on various Army posts until he retired. They moved to Lawton in 1960. Mrs. Irwin was a homemaker and had worked at Herb's for eight years. She was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church and Charity Chapter 507, OES.

Survivors include her husband, of the home; a son, Clayton, Lawton; two daughters, Jill Cookinham, Fort Riley, Kan., and Pamela May, York, Pa.; 10 grandchildren and a great-grandchild."
