Mrs. Sallie B. Meeks, 78, of 104 Lobingier Ave., died at 1:10 a.m. Sunday, October 2, 1994, at Dorminy Medical Center.
Mrs. Meeks was born in Telfair County, September 10, 1916, to Roderick Manning and Rebecca McDuffie McCranie.
A retired hairdresser, she ws a member of West Side Baptist Church. She had lived in the community most of her life.
Survivors include: husband, G.J. Meeks Jr.; daughter, Annette Roberts; brother, Manning McCranie; three grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. yesterday (Tuesday) at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Bobby Rodgers and Lawrence Adkinson officiating.
Internment was in Evergreen Cemetery.
