William R. Parkhurst, 47, of Effingham died at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday in St. Anthony Hospital, Effingham.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday in Johnson Funeral Home, Effingham, where friends
may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Thursday. Burial will be in Oakridge Cemetery, Effingham.
Mr. Parkhurst was born in Illinois, a son of Charles and Ivy Wines Parkhurst. He married
Sharon K. Smith. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans of Effingham.
Surviving are his wife; sons, John, Timothy, Dallas and Joseph, all at home; daughters,
Betty and Tamantha, both at home; his mother of Effingham; brothers, Leonard of
Effingham; Donald of California; Richard of South Carolina; Arthur of Robinson; sisters,
Mrs. Ann Fugate of Mattoon; Mrs. Judy May Schmohe of Kansas City, Kan.
