A funeral service for James E. Atkins was conducted Friday morning, April 21, at Evergreen Cemetery in Luray by Elder L.S. Crawford. Mr. Atkins, 53 of Richmond died Tuesday morning, April 18, at McGuire Veterans Hospital where he had been a patient a week. He was born Nov. 26, 1924 in Page County and was a son of Herman B. Atkins of Luray and the late Elsie Ramey Atkins. Surviving, besides his father, are a son, James Atkins of Leesburg; a daughter, Barbara Caylor of Texas, and a sister, Clarice Doss of Richmond.
