Robert worked as a brick masno at Geneva Steel for 35 years and also at the Provo temple for 15 years. He was a veteran of both WWII and the Korean wars. He was a High Priest, enjoyed working on genealogy, and love to travel.
He is survived by his wife, Allie; children: Marsh (Gilby) Gilbert, Mary (Randy Bird, Janey Nelson, Diane (Brian) Robinson, and Susan Robinson; step-children: Dahl Goble, Gwen (Slade) Mathews, Linda (Mack) Hatfield, Dennis (Lynda) Goble; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two children: Donald Beckstead and Marylin Cardall; step-child, Jean Goble; and his brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held on Firday, August 26, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at the Main Street LDS Chapel, 55 North Main, Springville. Friends and family may call on Thrusday evening form 6-8 p.m. at Wheeler Mortuary, 211 East 200 South, Springville, or at the church one hour prior to services. Interment will be in the Santaquin City Cemetery.
