She and John were married on November 14, 1942, in Sioux Falls (Minnehaha County), South Dakota, by the Rev. John F. Cavanaugh in the Sioux Falls Catholic Church. John was a radio operator for the Army Air Force and stationed there, during World War II.
They would make their life together in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, until the death of John in 1982.
At the time of her death, she was living with her son, John Jr. in Lewes, Delaware. She died of Lymphoma (cancer).
