A native of Spotsylvania County, VA, he was the owner of H.P. Carr Trucking, and a member of the Hebron Baptist Church.
Husband of Brenda Carr.
He is also survived by children, Cindy Clore and her husband, Jeffrey, Ronnie Carr, Jeff Carr and his wife, Penny, and Chris Chewning and his wife, Tracey; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sisters, Janet Hwilka of Maryland, and Celeste Howdershelt & Grace Reynolds, both of Virginia, and other relatives.

Interment in the Church graveyard followed funeral services conducted Saturday, May 8, 2010.
