Gantz Funeral Will Be Monday
Glenn P. Gantz, native of Jefferson county and well known farmer, died this morning at 1:15 a.m. at the Jefferson county hospital. He had been a patient at the hospital since Sept. 3.
Last rites will be Monday at 2 p.m. at the Raymond funeral home with the Rev. Ned Gillum ad the Rev. Hoyt Whitebread officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.
Glenn Paul Gantz, 68, was born Sept. 26, 1896, in Jefferson county, the son of John A. and Lizzie Abraham Gantz. He attended schools in Fairfield, graduated from the Fairfield high school and attended Parsons college.
He was united in marriage on Dec. 6, 1946, at Fayetteville, Arkansas, to Etta Warner Gantz. She survives.
He moved to Fairfield when a boy and had lived in this community for the past 58 years. However, he continued to farm during the remainder of his ife. The Gantz farm is located northwest of Fairfield.
He was a member of the Christian church, the Shrine, and was a 32nd Degree Mason. The family home is located at 207 W. Adam.
In addition to his wife Gantz is survived by a sister, Mrs. Marie Grauel, Fairfield. He was preceded in death by one brother and three sisters.
