Red Oak - Funeral services were held Saturday at Perryman Chapel for Clifton Ackles, 64, retired Montgomery County farmer, who died Wednesday at an Omaha Hospital The Rev. Arthur Embred officiated. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery.
Ackles was born February 22, 1881 at Red Oak, the only son of Charles Wesley and Alice Purcell. He married Nellie Agnes Evans on February 7, 1906.
Survivors are his widow, Nellie Ackles; two sons Gaylord Ackles of Anita and Gerhard Ackles of Omaha; his mother, Mrs. Alice Ackles of Anita; and two grandchildren.
