On August 20, 1864, she was married to John Swank, my GGGGgrandfather, and was living in Union, Miami Co., IN with some of John Swank's children to his first wife, Catharine and Franklin, as well as Isaac and Edward Wenrich, John Curby [sic] age 7 (born Indiana), Louisa Stowman age 7, and Alice Dibert age 3.
John Curby is really John Zerby, a child born to Christina's second husband John Zerby. She would have been about 45 at the time that she had this child. I believe this John Zerby Jr. is the George Zerby who died in Stark Co., Ohio (Findagrave #19658989). This George's death certificate states he was born in Indiana, and that he was the son of Jonathan Zerby of PA and Christina Luckenbill. A descendant of George Zerby #19658989 has stated that George was born in Miami County, Indiana, which further solidifies that the John Curby from the 1870 census actually was George Zerby.
If this George Zerby is indeed the John Zerby Jr. from the 1870 census, living with Christina and John Swank, then we now know that Christina's maiden name is Luckenbill. This is interesting because John Swank's first wife's maiden name was also Luckenbill.
