Susanna Wykoff, widow of Henry Bonebrake, died Friday morning, Jan. 4, 1907, at the home
of her son, Alva Bonebrake, near Hillsdale. She was born in Dearborn county, Ind., Aug.
29th, 1825. She was united in marriage to Theron Misner in May 1842. To this union were
five children were born, two of whom survive her, Mrs. J.M. Cory of Kingman and Mrs.
Theodore Spencer of Sunnyvale, Calif. She was bereaved by the death of her husband Jan.
10, 1856.
She remained a widow until Aug. 1857, when she was united in marriage to Henry Bonebrake.
To this union three children were born, two of whom survive, Mrs. E. Boren of Toronto,
and Alva Bonebrake of Hillsdale. She was again bereaved by the death of her second
husband June 18, 1877. About the year 1845 she united with the Baptist church and
remained a true christian until the end. Her funeral was preached by Rev. Brandenburgh
from 2 Cor. 5th chapt., 1st verse, which she herself chose for that purpose. She knew
that death was near and her sorrowing children; "I am going home." She passed
away peacefully as a child being hailed to sleep in its mother's arms.
