Funeral service for Jesse Bradley Adkins, 24, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 15, 2010, at Dunbar Funeral Home, Northeast Chapel, with burial to follow in Elmwood Memorial Gardens. Visitation was held Friday, May 14, 2010. Jesse passed away peacefully in his sleep at home, May 13, 2010. He is now in the presence of his friend and Savior Jesus.

Jesse was born August 5, 1985, in Columbia, to Michael and Leslie Adkins. Graduating from Spring Valley High School, he went on to earn a B.S. in psychology from Columbia International University. He worked for Lowes and was planning an engagement to Grace Parks, who soon graduates from Columbia International University. He also attended Crossroads Community Church. Jesse was a Christian and had accepted God's free gift of salvation. He was baptized at North Trenholm Baptist Church several years ago, and it was a fine day. He loved family, the outdoors, good food, working with his hands and cheesy movies. He was dearly loved, knew it, and loved much himself. We are all very grateful that he was part of our family, and we will miss him more than you can imagine.

Surviving are his parents, Mike and Leslie; brother, Josh; sister, Lauren; grandparents, James and Carol Graham and William and Marcia Moffett; his close friend and love, Grace Parks; a bevy of aunts, uncles and cousins. We love you Big Chief!
