Lydia Burris Services Are Held Tuesday
SAVOY - Funeral services for Mrs. Lydia Irene Burris, 70, of Savoy were held at the Mullican-Little Funeral chapel at 3 p.m. Tuesday with the Rev. James Sigler officiating. Burial was in Sunnyside cemetery.
Mrs. Burris was born Jan. 2, 1904, at Ravenna, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elijah Cummings. She married Homer Burris July 25, 1925, at Bonham. He preceded her in death Nov. 6, 1974.
She was a member of the Baptist church.
Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Cecelia Goodwin of White Bluff, Tenn., and Mrs. Lucinda Bellis of Laurel, Miss.; three brothers, Luther Cummings of Sherman, Earnest Cummings of Lubbock and Clyde Cummings of Dallas; two sisters, Mrs. Kate Woodall of New Braunfels and Mrs. Iona Ball of Bonham, eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Active pallbearers were Leonard, James, Jack and Horner Ball, Robert Fogle and Allen Metcalf.
