Mrs. A. D. Burke, 79, of Odessa, formerly of Abilene, died at 3:30 a.m Saturday in Odessa following a year's illness.
Funeral will be held Monday at 3 p.m. in Kiker-Warren Chapel with Rev. Pearl Keeton of Odessa officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Memorial Park.
Born Hattie Bell Greer in Emery, Texas Aug. 5, 1888, she came to Abilene in 1904 from Point, Tex. She was an Abilene resident until moving to Odessa about 12 years ago.
She was married in 1907 to A. D. Burke, a longtime City of Abilene employee. He died May 25, 1952 She was a member of the Nazarene church.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Z. S. (Ace) McCracken of Odessa; two grandchildren; one brother, B. C. Greer of 1249 Palm.
The family will be at the B. C. Greer residence.
