Charles J. Natitus, Jr., 65, beloved husband of Carol (Soucie) Natitus of South Windsor, died Sunday, (November 19, 2006) at John Dempsey Hospital, Farmington. Born in Plymouth, PA on May 14, 1941, son of Anne (Ciak) Natitus of Shavertown, PA and the late Charles J. Natitus, Sr., he had lived in South Windsor for the last 32 years. Mr. Natitus was employed as a police officer for the Hartford Police Department, retiring after 31 years as a Lieutenant. He served in the U.S. Navy, was a member of the Police Benevolent Association and was a member of the Reddington Rock Riding Club. He was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church, South Windsor, was an avid horse rider and enjoyed his new adventure of grinding stumps. In addition to his wife and mother, he leaves a son, Charles J. ``CJ'' Natitus and his companion Linda Lachance of East Windsor; a daughter, Lisa C. Natitus of Bessemer City, NC; a brother, Frank and his wife, Debbie Natitus of Shavertown, PA; two sisters, Ruth and her husband, James Altemus of Tunkhannock, PA and Joan and her husband, Robert Pascolini of Exeter, PA; and many nieces and nephews. Family and friends may gather, Saturday, 9 a.m. at the Samsel & Carmon Funeral Home, 419 Buckland Road, South Windsor, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 10 a.m. in St. Francis of Assisi Church. Burial will follow in Wapping Cemetery, South Windsor. Her family will receive friends, Friday from 5-8 p.m. at the Samsel & Carmon Funeral Home.
