J. Frank Hayes, a well known travelling salesman, died December 6, 1937, at his home in Hutchinson, Kansas, following an illness of 18 months. He had travelled in the western half of Kansas for 34 years representing the Nelson-Baker Pharmaceutical Company, of Detroit, Michigan. Mr. (John Francis) Hayes was originally from Port Huron, Michigan.
Survivors included his widow, Helen; a son, John Frank Hayes, Jr.; and four sisters, Mrs. Jerry Paisley, Mrs. D. J. Karren and Miss Katheryne Hayes, all of Port Huron and Mrs. James T. Sullivan of Detroit, Michigan.
The funeral was held at St. Teresa's Catholic Church in Hutchinson with burial at Mount Calvary cemetery in Salina.
