Born in Warren, he had lived most of his life in Marion. He and his wife opened the Western Auto Store in Gas City in 1950 and operated it until May, 1954. He had also been a farmer near Marion as well as in Silver Lake and Claypool, IN; owner-operator of a used car business in Marion for many years; and more recently operated a service station at Sixth and Adams Streets in Marion. He was a member of the Marion Coin Club and the Fraternal Order of Police.
Surviving are the widow, Betty of Marion; and a daughter in Cuyahoga Falls, OH.
Burial will be in Grant Memorial Park.
