Biography:

Ruth Brooks, 73, Granby, died Wednesday, May 12, 2010, at her home.

She was born May 28, 1936, in Jasper, Arkansas, to Lawrence Jefferson Robinson and Famie Norma (Shatt) Robinson.

Mrs. Brooks was a lifelong area resident and worked at Sunbeam Leisure Products, in Neosho, for 30 years, retiring in 1998.

She loved to play Bingo.

She and Louie Milton Brooks were married in 1954 in Kansas City, MO. He preceded her in death November 19, 1993.

She is survived by her children, Jerry F. and Edna Brooks of Republic, MO; Michael L. Brooks of Granby, MO; Glenda D. Brooks of Neck City, MO; Larry Kelse Sexton of Kansas City, MO; and Jimmy Lee Brooks of Larned, KS; a grandson, Shannon Brooks of Joplin, MO; four additional grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Anna Louise Daugherty and a son, William Lynn Brooks.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm, Monday at the Clark Funeral Home Chapel, Granby, with Rev. Ralph Walker officiating.

Burial will follow in Dice Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Morgan Harris, David Williams, Dan Lee, Shannon Brooks, John Cook and James Davidson.

Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday from noon - 5 pm, where the family will receive friends from 2 - 3 pm.

Chapel Service:
Monday May 17, 2010, 1:00 pm at Granby Chapel of Memories

Officiating the service will be Rev. Ralph Walker.

Interment:
Monday May 17, 2010 at Dice Cemetery in Fairview, Mo

Visitation:
Sunday May 16, 2010, 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm at Granby Chapel of Memories
