Mrs. Katie Brooks, 92, widow of William J. Brooks, died Wednesday afternoon at her home, 236 W. Main St., Newmanstown. Born in Newmanstown, she was a daughter of Thomas and Annie Miller Meiser. Her husband died 13 years ago. Mrs. Brooks is survived by two daughters: Carrie L., widow of Howard Snyder, with whom she resided, and Esther, wife of Paul Sheetz, Myerstown. A son, Leroy W. of Lafayette, Ind.; eight grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren also survive. [Lebanon Daily News, April 22, 1965, Page 2]
