John D. King, 68, died Monday, November 5, in the Veterans Hospital, Huntington,West Virginia.
Mr. King was born February 12, 1922 in Johnson County, the son of Charlie and Rhoda Johnson King. He was retired from the Kentucky State Highway Department, a veteran of WW II and a member of the Church of God.
Surviving are his wife,Shirley Blevins King; one son, Johnny King,of Staffordsville; one brother,Jim King, of Staffordsville; and one sister, Dorothy Wheeler, of Staffordsville.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 8, at 11 a.m., in Little Mud Lick Church of God at Staffordsville, with Rev.Tobe Wheeler Jr. officiating.Burial will be in the Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery at Staffordsville, with Paintsville Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
