Funeral services for Earl G. Eagles, 66, who died last Wednesday afternoon in a Shreveport convalescent home after a long illness, were held Sunday at 3:30 p.m. in Shreveport.

Mr. Eagles was a native of Winnfield and had been a resident of Shreveport for the past 35 years. He was a member of the Masonic order in Winnfield and a member of the Cedar Grove Eastern Star Lodge in Shreveport.

Officiating at the funeral services was Rev. J.F. Kane, pastor of Southside Baptist Church in Shreveport. Burial was in Forest Park cemetery with Masonic rites at the graveside.

Mr. Eagles is survived by a brother, George R. Eagles of Winnfield; one daughter, Mrs. J.A. Leinendecker of Shreveport, three sisters, Mrs. T.G. Smith of North Augusta, Ga., Mrs. J.L. Land of Shreveport, and Mrs. Guy Johnson, also of Shreveport and one grandchild.
