Also known as Curtis. Curtis family history states that she died of a broken heart when her husband, Michalius, did not return from Chicago. He disappeared while returning from a trip to Chicago to visit his children from a first marriage. His trunk managed to make it back.

After an illness of about two weeks, Mrs. Curtis died Tuesday at the home of her son, Anton. A large crowd gathered at the Posen church, at 9 o’clock a.m., where the funeral services were conducted by Rev. Janeskowski. She leaves 6 children to mourn her loss. The children have the sympathy of the community in their bereavement.
