CHESTER—Clarence Houpt, 51, 1115 Thomas st, died at Crozer Hospital yesterday three hours after admission.
Mr. Houpt, a lifelong resident of the county, had been employed at Penn Steel Castings Co. for 15 years and prior to that at the Aberfoyle Manufacturing Co.
He was born in Rockdale and lived in Chester about 16 years. He was a member of the city's auxiliary police since that force was started.
Survivors include his wife, Winnie; five children, five grandchildren and two brothers. The children are John, Mrs. Winnie Thomas and Mrs. Eleanor Ross, all of the city, Eileen, at home, and William of Holmes.
The brothers, who live in Rockdale, are Roy and Leon.
Services will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the Griffith Chapel, Norwood with burial in Edgwood Memorial Gardens. Friends may call Monday evening at the funeral chapel.
