Rev. George W. Rogers, pastor of the Leamersville Brethren Church, died last night at 9:30 o'clock at his home in Brookes Mills. Death resulted from a heart condition.
Rev. Rogers was born at Alum Bank, Bedford County, on July 5, 1891, a son of Levi and Catherine Rogers. He was educated in the rural schools of Bedford Co. and was graduated from Juniata College. He was united in marriage with Miss Elma Brumbaugh in Juniata, the ceremony being performed by the bride's father, Rev. Josiah Brumbaugh.
Surviving are the wife, five children, Galen, Lucinda, Victor, Kathren, and Ellis, all at home and two brothers, John Rogers of near Philadelphia, and Sewell Rogers of Alum Bank.
