William H. Brode of Saxton R. D. died Monday; June 7, 1971, in the J. C. Blair Memorial Hospital. He was born September 26, 1901 at Saxton R. D., a son of Arnold and Ada (Speck) Brode. He was united in marriage to Dolly M. Carberry on December 31, 1923 at Huntingdon. Surviving are his wife and the following children: Harold D. Brode, Mrs. Owen (June)Lamen, William M. Brode and Robert L.. Brode, all of Saxton R. D. Two brothers also survive. They are Edwin Brode, Washington, D. C., and David Brode, Ohio. He had been coalminer and for the past years was self-employed as a sawmill operator.
