Gordon McKenney Speed, age 91 of Bristow, Virginia, died Monday, May 10, 2010 at Prince William Hospital, Manassas, Virginia.
He was born November 17, 1918 in Durham, son of the late William W. and Lois (Pickett) Speed. Mr. Speed was an agent with Nationwide Insurance for 40 years.
He was also preceded in death by his wife, Ann P. Speed in 2005.
Survivors include two children, Linda Kettner and husband, Fred, of Manassas, Virginia and Carol Speed of Manassas, Virginia; one sister, Lucille Webb of Maryland; four grandchildren, Michele Daniels, Fred Kettner, Cara Abbott and Dan Savoia; 10 great grandchildren, Kevin, Amber, Ashley, Lilly, Lucie, Billy, Danny, Katie, John and Jacob; and a dear friend, Ann Gosnell.
