John Milan was known by the nicknames Milo, M.J. and Jap (Jaspers son)He used the name in reverse from that on his birth certificate, going by Milan John (M.J.)He came to Calif.with his wife and children sometime between 1935 and 1940. He first had a Motel in Beaumont or Banning, CA. Then he moved his family to Baldwin Park where he owned and operated a motel on Garvey Blvd. and Baldwin Park Blvd. which now is the 10 Freeway. Then he started Wally's Bike and Hardware in Baldwin Park. He ran that until he retired and left the business to his son Richard. His wife was Marie (Mary) Louise Lurz Wallingford.They were married in Valentine, NE 1 Jan 1923.
