C. Earl Bash
C. Earl Bash, a crane operator for Alcoa for 35 years, died Thursday in a Vancouver hospital. He was 71.
A service will be 11 a.m. Monday at Memorial Gardens Funeral Chapel. The Rev. P. Ivar Pihl will officiate.
Mr. Bash was born in Portland on Jan. 18, 1913. He lived in the Vancouver area for 44 years, last at 5307 N.E. 78th Ave.
Mr. Bash was a member of the International order of Foresters; Order of Eagles, Vancouver Aerie 2148; Alcoa 25-year Club; Aluminum Workers International, Local 300; and the Alcoa Rod and Gun Club. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was an avid rock collector.
Mr. Bash is survived by his widow, Roma B., at home; three sons, Donald L. of Vancouver, David E. of Camas and Terry L. of Mesa, Ariz; a daughter, Ellen Phillips of Vancouver; three brothers, Loren Yancey of Vancouver, E. Don Yance of Portland and Kenneth Yancey of Bremerton; 16 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
