MRS EDWIN H. BRADFIELD DIES AT LAWRENCE
LAWRENCE - Funeral rites were held at the Thompson mortuary here Monday afternoon for Mrs. Hetty Abrams Bradfield, 71, wife of the Rev. Edwin H. Bradfield, retired minister and Lawrence justice of the peace, who died Friday at Borgess hospital, Kalamazoo, where she had been a patient for three weeks. She had been ill for two years.
The Rev. Arthur A. Beuge, Methodist pastor, conducted the services and burial was in Prospect Lake cemetery.
Mrs. Bradfield was born in Paw Paw, March 16, 1867, the daughter of James and Helen Abrams, members of pioneer families who came here in 1853. On December 1, 1886, she was married to Edwin H. Bradfield, who was the pastor of the Paw Paw Presbyterian church. They celebrated their golden wedding anniversary two years ago.
Besides the husband she is survived by five children, the Rev. Irwin Bradfield of Waukesha, Wis., Richard of Flint, Franklin of Detroit; and Miss Helen Bradfield, teacher in Grand Ledge, and Albert Bradfield, teacher in Holland. She also leaves five brothers and one sister, Mrs. Helen Jones of Centreville, Mich., A. H. Abrams, Lawrence merchant, Archie and Richard Abrams, Lawrence farmers, James of Clearwater, Fla., and Harold of Meadville, Pa.
