Ariel was born August 17, 1992 in New Martinsville, W.Va., the beloved daughter of Diana McDiffitt of Reader.
She was a senior at Valley High School, employee of Wendy's in New Martinsville, Valley High School's 2009 Snow Queen and a Protestant by faith
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Avis McDiffitt (2005).
Surviving, in addition to her mom, are her maternal grandfather, Cecil McDiffitt of Reader; aunts and uncles, Karen (James) Dulaney of Big Run, W.Va., Tim (Tammy) McDiffitt of Piney, W.Va., Mike McDiffitt of New Martinsville, W.Va., Janet (Jay) Slider of Paden City, W.Va.; cousins, Jamie, Chris and Brett Dulaney; Aunt Becky, Dave and Merideth McDiffitt; Anthony and Whitney McDiffitt; Carlyn and Trey Slider; Brittany James and Brendan Dulaney; special friends, Alex Smith, Courtney Price and Tameka Eddy.

Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, May 13, 2010 at the First Baptist Church, Reader, WV with Leary VanHorn officiating.
Interment in Knights of Pythias Cemetery, Hastings, W.Va.
