He was born in Winooski, Vt. on June 26, 1922 the son of George and Olive (LaVigne) Pepin.
He attended St. Louis Convent and Winooski High School. On Sept. 6, 1942 he married Blanche H. Trepanier in St Anthony's Church. Bernard, also known as "Pep" was employed by the American Woolen Mill in Winooski from 1940 to 1954 and St. Johnsbury Trucking from 1954 until his retirement in 1984 and was a member of Teamster Local 597.
Bernard is survived by his wife, Blanche of nearly 68 years of Cape Coral, Fla., a son, Bernie Pepin and his wife, Marie-Reine of Colchester, Vt., and a daughter Ann Cheshire, also of Cape Coral.
He is also survived by five grandchildren, Mark Conner of Burlington, Vt., Brett Conner and his wife Bobby Jo, of Bristol, Vt., Susan McCarthy and her husband, Chris of Old Lyme, Conn., Lisa Robtoy and her husband, Jay of Enosburg Falls, Vt., and Michael J. Pepin of Hollywood, Calif., and five great-grandchildren. Bernard is also survived by three brothers, Gerald Pepin and his wife Mary of Round Rock, Texas, Richard Pepin and his wife, Sally of St. Albans, Vt., and Paul Pepin of Colchester, Vt., a sister, Norma Thurber of Colchester, Vt., a brother-in-law, Walter Trepanier of Williston, Vt., also numerous nieces and nephews.
Bernard was predeceased by his parents, his in-laws, Henry and Laurianna Trepanier, a brother, George, a sister, Connie Fondry, three brothers-in-law, Joe Fondry, Larry Thurber and Paul Trepanier three sisters-in-law, Mary Ann Pepin, Harriet Trepanier and Delta Trepanier.
