Mahon "Jack" Coffey, 67, died Monday, July 8, 1996, in Columbia.

Services will be 12 noon Friday at Fountain Creek Church in Culleoka with the Rev James Walton officiating. Burial will be in Campground Cemetery.

The body will lie-in-state Thursday at Baxter Brothers Funeral Home.

A native of Giles County he was the son of the late Harvey "Buster" and Stella Harvell Coffey. He was a retired employee of Occidental Chemical Co. and was proprietor of C&W Car Wash on South Main Street. He was a U.S. Army veteran.

He was preceded in death by one son.

Survivors include his wife, Sarah Coffey of Columbia; three sons: Jackie Coffey of Austin, TX, Larry Coffey of Walnut Creek, CA, and Lester Coffey of Columbia; four daughters: Diann Hawkins and Juanita King, both of Leighton, AL, Faye Mayberry of Dickson and LeQuinta Dudley of Columbia; stepson, Thomas Davis of Columbia; two brothers: Fred Coffey and Flenoid "Dud" Coffey of Pulaski; one sister, Mrs. Louise English of Mt. Pleasant; 19 grandchildren; and 10 great-children.

Pallbearers will be Billy Patrick, Thomas Hayes, Melvin Morris, Charlie Jones, Abraham Mason, Tim Cathey, John Watson and Tim Darrington.

Honorary pallbearers will be employees of Occidental Chemir:al Co.
