The name on the tombstone should be Edward, not Edgar. The notation with the Edgar in quotation marks is misleading. Both a death certificate and an obituary for Edward Austin Simkins clearly identify him by this name and I think this should be clarified in the comments. I have never found any record that refers to him as Edgar, and think this was an error in whoever made arrangements for the headstone.
