Sheridan Matron Dies In Surgery
Mrs. Catherine Marie Legerski, 40, died Tuesday at Denver while undergoing heart surgery.
She was born Sept. 21, 1919, in Omaha, Neb., and came to Sheridan in 1945. She was married to Mike Legerski on Dec. 5, 1946
Mrs. Legerski was a member of St. Peter's Episcopal Church and of the VFW Auxiliary.
Besides her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Corita Burton, Omaha and Karen Shipley, Sheridan; two sons, Michael Legerski, Sheridan and Benjamin Shipley, Camp Campbell, Ky.; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Earl H. Berlinghof, Sr., of Omaha; a sister, Mrs. Betty Schmitz and a brother, Earle Berlinghof, Jr., both of Omaha.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock from Champion's with the Rev. Raymond H. Clark officiating. Burial will be in the Sheridan Municipal Cemetery.
