FERN EVA BROOKS
Fern Eva Brooks, 94, of Des Moines, died Feb. 7, 1991 at the Calvin Manor in Des Moines. She was born in Lucas, Iowa in 1897.
She was a retired school teacher, a member of the National Education and State Teachers Associations and was also a member of the Highland Park Presbyterian Church.
Services were held Feb. 9 at the Highland Park Presbyterian Church with burial in the Chariton Cemetery.
Survivors include three brothers, Raymond Hooker of Des Moines; Donald Hooker of Goldfield; and Wayne Hooker of Lucas.
