Betty Jean R. Farnsworth, loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, 84, passed away on Friday, May 7, 2010 in Salt Lake City, Utah from natural causes. She resided at 2038 West Lindsay Drive (4135 South) in Taylorsville, Utah at the time of her death.

Born February 19, 1926 in Union, Utah to Erma Venice Snedaker and Edwin Rush Reeves.

Married Donald E. Farnsworth on June 1, 1946; later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. She loved music, oil painting, bowling, serving in Primary callings, avid Jazz fan, voracious reader, and connoisseur collector.

She is survived by her children: Darrell (Miriam) Farnsworth, Craig (Terri) Farnsworth, Sharon (Charles) Waller, Debra Thompson, KaLynn (Richard) Ninow, Richard (Becky) Farnsworth; sister, Georgia (Robert) Yates; twenty-four grandchildren; thirty great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by husband, four sisters, and one brother.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, May 13, 2010 at 12:00 p.m. in the Taylorsville Gardens First Ward Chapel, 4252 South Bennion Road. Viewings will be held on Wednesday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road (1700 West), and Thursday from 11:00-11:45 a.m. at the Church.
Interment: Valley View Memorial Park.
