Mrs. Caroline Elizabeth Ackerman will celebrate her 80th birthday anniversary Thursday at an open house at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Elmer C. Strong 943-9th East. Friends and relatives are invited to call from 3 to 8 p.m.
Mrs. Ackerman was born Aug 7th, 1878, in Hennefer, Summit County, She came to Salt Lake City at the age of 16 and has lived here since. She was married to George Ackerman Feb 14th, 1899. The marriage later was solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple, Church of Jesus Crist of Latter -day Saints. He died in 1951. Mrs. Ackerman now resides with her daughter, Mrs. Victor I. Johanson, 4375 W. 5100 S., Kearns, UT
In addition to Mrs. Strong and Mrs. Johnason, she has four other daughters, and two sons. They are, Mrs. G. G. Nelson, Mrs. Willard G. Locke and Bill Ackerman, all of Salt Lake City; Jack Ackerman, Mrs. Theodore Ballard and Mrs. Albert Frates, of Idaho. There are 53 grandchildren, 78 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
