Ludwig Baginski,75 of Decatur died at him home today. He had been ill of asthma for some time. Coming to Decatur in 1889 from Germany he moved into the house on E. Orchard which he has maintained ever since. He was a charter member of St. Johannes Lutheran church and a member of Miners Local No 2622. A retired coal miner he was employed by the Macon County Coal co. until three years ago.

Born March 31,1862 in Ostrode,Germany he was married in 1888,to Mrs. Caroline Baginski who died March 18, 1937. He leaves five sons,Herman,Max and Arthur of Decatur,Henry of Chicago and Walter of Peoria,one sister, Mrs. Etta Trapp of Taylorville and five grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Friday at the home and at St. Johannes Lutheran church with Morans. He will be buried in the Lutheran cemetery.
