(WEDOWEE) Services for Ruby Lee Belt, 80, of Wedowee were Monday, Oct. 15,
2007, at 10 a.m. at Benefield Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Barry Gillis
officiating. Burial followed in West View Cemetery.
Mrs. Belt died Thursday, Oct. 11, at Northeast Alabama Regional Medical
Center Long-Term Extended Care.
Ms. Belt is survived by one daughter, Marie Belt of Cummings, Ga.; one son,
David Belt; one granddaughter; one grandson; five sisters, Wanda Belt of
Winston, Ga., Mearl Blodgett of James Town, Calif., Louise Lavender of
Douglasville, Ga., Pat Chitwood of Fayetteville, Ga.; and two great-
grandchildren.
Mrs. Belt was born Aug. 5, 1927, the daughter of Ross and Vernon Daisey
Grizzle Hull. She had been a homemaker. Mrs. Belt was preceded in death by her
husband, Calvin Belt; two sisters, Hazel Jones and Virginia Bailey; two
brothers, Robert and Michael Hull.
